Underworld Adventurer

On a mission to restore the petrified Fredrick Featherstone to flesh, Bors the Bald made some decision of regret involving the cave elves.   The Castora Cup designed by Castora's player Curtis Lorithk created by Curtis The first annual Castora Cup was held under the Hunter's Moon. Cast under the Bronze Dragon Galatea's smith, Kirathk, the trophy aims to honor the memory of Castora, the deceased Order member the tournament honors. To win the Castora Cup, each team was scored on speed, strength of the monsters battled, and the team's ability to work together towards their mutual survival. Any group bringing a torch, lantern, candle, or item with Continual Light cast on it are disqualified. Four teams, each with sponsors from the Impossible Fortress' court, competed.  The first place team wins 1000gp ea. and possession of the Castora Cup until the next Hunter's Moon. They aimed to strike a deal with the Eventide Queen to return Bors' comrade and Drinking Crow mascot Fredrick Featherstone back to living, breathing flesh years after being turned to stone by a monster from the Imperial Mother's holding pens. They made a very different deal instead. **This post is a continuing work in progress** In the shadow of the Impossible Keep, rests the settlement of Orm. The walled community rests where the Gloaming Hills meet Sourwood Marsh. Allowing no entry from the coast of the Cerulean Sea, Orm has commanded the marshland for Aeons. Once, durinng the peak of the Empire-That-Was, Orm possessed legendarily decadent gardens. Their ruins rest above New Orm along with crumbling remnants of structures from when the Cerulean Sea stood taller. This shell of a past grandeur, the Orm-of-Old, is visible throughout all points in the modern township and reminds its citizens that the greatest days of Orm have past. All know that the current ruler of Orm, the Rani, cannot accept this truth which is apparent to her subjects. Like many of the local petty rulership across Ur-Dan, she declares Orm a City-State. Drinking at the Burning Witch, PakPak lamented to the barkeep Jakki about lingering obligations he had in the Twilight Shores. These debts were passed to him when his wife of just a few weeks died in 'The Complex' along with several of her fellow Midnight Maruaders. A week of debaucherous carousing saw him married to the minorest of hob nobility, the Lady Meggee. Three years after her death, PakPak had yet to fulfill her family's obligation to secure hob support for Lady Blackmarsh. The Beholder Kiddo found PakPak's desire to return to the Twilight Shores auspicious as she, via song bird, had received a summons to appear before the Eventide Queen that now ruled the Twilight Shores. Kiddo had been among the party that had freed her from her captivity by the Imperial Mother thus allowing her to ascend to her rightful leadership the elfin domain.  The group of adventurers known as the Demon Slayers had returned from a mysterious delve into 'The Complex' with the Burning Witch regular Bludoon. The group had been seen quietly selling off jewelry and identifying some weapons at the Athenaeum of the Dying Sun. Afterwards, Bludoon was spotted having hushed conversations with the magic-user adventurer Journeyman Crannoc. It is rumored gold pieces exchanged hands. Other members of the group were seen delivering a very large hide covered in crystals to the renowned leather worker, Frimer Frimson. 111th Company members claimed this hide was carried out of the Iron Gate by the party in their last delve. All the while, the smells of some strange new cooking collaboration between Fr. Bert and Bludoon wafted through the market. Two weeks after all of these events began transpiring, the classic core of the Demon Slayers reunited again at the Drinking Crow.  The final delve into the Complex for last year saw a party of adventurers free the imprisoned rightful ruler of the Twilight Shores from the dungeons of the Imperial Mother. Known as the Princess of the Eventide, this being seemed to be a mirror of the Imperial Mother's literally half human crone/half elfin maiden body. After convalescing in attempted secret at the Athenaeum of the Dying Sun , the heir apparent journeyed forth to the Burnt Copse with Lirazil (the Magician Phasmo's retainer) to claim her seat of power in the Twilight Shores. Lady Blackmarsh has ended her custodial rule over the Twilight Shores and the reign of the Queen of the Eventide is to begin. The adventurers of Orm have been invited to the elfin realm for the coronation not only due to some of their number being responsible for the Queen's freedom but for their long standing support of the elfin realm.
