Demon Slayers of the Drinking Crow Session #65- The Veil of Secrecy

The group of adventurers known as the Demon Slayers had returned from a mysterious delve into 'The Complex' with the Burning Witch regular Bludoon. The group had been seen quietly selling off jewelry and identifying some weapons at the Athenaeum of the Dying Sun. Afterwards, Bludoon was spotted having hushed conversations with the magic-user adventurer Journeyman Crannoc. It is rumored gold pieces exchanged hands. Other members of the group were seen delivering a very large hide covered in crystals to the renowned leather worker, Frimer Frimson. 111th Company members claimed this hide was carried out of the Iron Gate by the party in their last delve. All the while, the smells of some strange new cooking collaboration between Fr. Bert and Bludoon wafted through the market.

Two weeks after all of these events began transpiring, the classic core of the Demon Slayers reunited again at the Drinking Crow. While a planned dive with Bludoon was a week away, the adventuring group as anxious to return to the halls of 'The Complex'. Only Copra Kaan, having joined his retired compatriot Bors Redbeard on a delve, had visited those depths since the party's mysterious delve. They decided to return their attentions to the northeastern portion of Level 3. The following group were seen heading towards the adventuring site:

  • Armeen of the Two Rivers (Level 5 Cleric of Danu)
    • Jubal (Level 3 Beast Master retainer)
      • a mangy mutt
  • Copra Kaan (Level 6 Vat Spawn Antaur)
  • Crambo (Level 4 Magic-User)
    • Agera (Level 2 Fighting Mutant retainer)
  • Fr. Bert (Level 4 Errant Friar of Arishem the Judge)
The party returned to the surface several hours later covered in scratches and smelling like grease & metal. Copra Kaan had a new clawed hand. They later could be seen unpacking a large collection of white robes. The group continued their trend of forbidding their retainers from their post-delve carousing.

In the time since, they have been seen conducting business in the shadowy corners of the Drinking Crow. They had hushed conversations with former party member Bors Redbeard along with regular visits with Bludoon.

Armeen visited the Hob Knob, a hob drinking establishment along the Twilight Shores. There, she plied the hob patrons with drinks while he inquired as to whether they knew of a skilled craftsperson who could carve their branch from the crystal pear tree into a beautiful staff. The wasted hobs spun tales of a member of the Court of the Radiant Thorn who could cut forms of heart staggering beauty from such materials. The hobs say that they still haunt the crumbling halls of the deposed Court's old fort in the Glooming Hills. While they seemed emphatic that if Armeen could find what he seeks in locating that old fort, the cleric found their sloppy drunken stories a little too inconsistent to place complete faith in the absolute truth of every part of them.
