The Festival of Flowers, The Illustrious Company Has Intelligence to Sell, and More in the New Around Orm

Image
After almost two weeks of unseasonably hot and dry weather, a day of heavy rain swept through Orm. It may have broken the heat but Ormens are not so sure it will bring a break in the rise of petty crime around the city-state. Here is what else is happening around Orm as the Festival of Flowers arrives: Dreams and visions of a black pyramid have intensified among Orm's spiritually tuned in and/or chemically dropped out. The Phantamorian Captain, Zaxxon , has offered to aid those lost in the deep existential dread that can accompany such interactions with the mysterious structure. While Zaxxon claims to be sharing relief through the esoteric practices of the Ivory Gleam, the opinion among Orm's more conservative set is that the strange being is leading nothing more than drug-laced orgies inside the ramshackle inn the Phantomorians are currently lodging in. The esoteric of the Ivory Gleam aren't the only spiritual matters creating buzz in the Alley of the Gods. The Magi Nazta

Burning Witch Adventurers Session #91- Lost Adventurers Returned

The following party was seen exiting the Athenaeum of the Dying Sun covered in dirt, leaves, and sweat transporting a bright pink-skinned naked being in a wheelbarrow: Fancy Jean-Yves Beauvollier (Level 6 Bard) GaWoosh (Level 4 Gnome) Journeyman Crannoc (Level 5 Magic-User) Wolfgang (Level 4 Duelist) As to what this group was up in the weeks since they went missing, curious souls will have to ask them directly. All that is known is that the group, especially Fancy, are very concerned about the missing Peaches, Freedom, and dogs from there delving party. Observant onlookers have taken note that Wolfgang is especially involved in the care of this indugent being in the wheelbarrow. The duelist may find their attentions spilt as his superiors at the Wolves Den are not too pleased with his multiweek absence at no notice. They claim it jeopardized fights for the Festival of Flowers. Write-ups, art, or maps submitted as play reports for the session earn 100 x PC Level XP. Let me know of any

Demon Slayers of the Drinking Crow Sessions #62 & 63- Dreaming of Level 5

Image
Following their journey into the World of Reflection and rescue of Fr. Bert, the Demon Slayers were not eager to return to adventuring. The experience by some members of the party was described as "harrowing". Inside, the group went their separate ways for a bit to engage in their lives in Orm. Fr. Bert return to his stall in the market to smoke meats and feed the orphans of Orm. In the market, he ran into fellow cook Bludoon (who still manages his own street food stall in Dogmouth's old psychometry stand). Their conversations inspired them to return to 'The Complex' to try to discover some new ingredients for their recipes. When the pair reconvened at the Drinking Crow to iron out an expedition, they were joined by Demon Slayers Copra Kaan and Crambo. Party member Armeen was absent due to duties for the Shrine of Danu. Their recent correspondences with the Magi Naztab has created some pressure from the Faith of the Mother of the Primordial Waters to see the shr

Burning Witch Adventurers Session #90- M.I.A.

While the Demon Slayers of the Drinking Crow had returned from the surface of Lonar and resumed delving into 'The Complex', between the aftermath of the coronation of a new queen in the Twilight Shores and festival season, the adventurers based out of the Burn Witch were slower to return to adventuring. A quartet of stalwart dungeon crawlers of the Burning Witch scene decided it was time for that to change. The following adventuring party left the tavern with plans of a delve into an unexplored area south of the gallery in Level 3 of dungeon underworld being bandied about: Fancy Jean-Yves Beauvollier (Level 6 Bard) Peaches (Level 4 thief retainer) DT (dungeon terrier) Freedom (sapient cat) RZA (ghost dog) Ferris (Level 1 Living Harness hireling) GaWoosh (Level 4 Gnome)_ Journeyman Crannoc (Level 5 Magic-User) Spike (war dog) Wolfgang (Level 4 Duelist) No one from the adventuring party returned to the surface. The Librarian Valtropis of the Athenaeum of the Dying Sun alerted hi

*Updated * Demon Slayers of the Drinking Crow Session #61- To The World of Reflection

Fr. Bert had gone missing. The errant friar got sucked into another dimeson by a trap that only left behind his sandals. After some frantic investigating around Orm, the remaining Demon Slayers decided to recruit some extra assistance for their efforts to rescue the missing clergy man. They picked up a new regular from the Drinking Crow before heading off to the Athenaeum of the Dying Sun . They could be overheard discussing with the Magician Phasmo children's tales of a place called "The World of Reflection", the Mirror Tongue, and the infiltration of the Crooked Hand by otherworldly beings. The following party was since descending into the cellar of the Athenaeum: Armeen of the Two Rivers (Level 4 Cleric of Danu) Jubal (Level 2 Beast Master retainer) Minotaur (hunting dog) Copra Kaan (Level 6 Vat Spawn Antaur) Crambo (Level 4 Magic-User) Agera (Level 2 Fighting Mutant retainer) Kobys (Level 1 Lunar Elf) Phasmo (Level 4 Magic-User) Lirazil (Level 2 Elf retainer) Late t

The Purpose of the Transcendental Congress of the Aureate Precepts

I was digging through a conversation with Cullen  (player currently of Kiddo and Ngorome) in search of some info relevant to the rescue of Fr. Bert that happened last Monday. While I couldn't find what I was searching for, I did find this response he wrote to being given a prompt about the Transcendental Congress of the Aureate Precepts : "Once was, magic was twisted and bent by the Sorcerer Kings for the creation of crooked life for the furtherance of their own wars and designs. But the Sorcerer Kings and their vatspawn were defeated and thrown down of old, and the Aureate Precepts of the Transcendental Congress were devised by the greatest surviving magic-users as a Shining Path to prevent future such Wars of Sorcery. "The Shining Path is exemplified by the foundational twelve spells of the Congress; those who fail to see the subtle unification underpinning these various magics are perforce incapable of 'Entering the Stream' of the Shining Path, and denied memb
