The Purpose of the Transcendental Congress of the Aureate Precepts
I was digging through a conversation with Cullen (player currently of Kiddo and Ngorome) in search of some info relevant to the rescue of Fr. Bert that happened last Monday. While I couldn't find what I was searching for, I did find this response he wrote to being given a prompt about the Transcendental Congress of the Aureate Precepts:
"Once was, magic was twisted and bent by the Sorcerer Kings for the creation of crooked life for the furtherance of their own wars and designs. But the Sorcerer Kings and their vatspawn were defeated and thrown down of old, and the Aureate Precepts of the Transcendental Congress were devised by the greatest surviving magic-users as a Shining Path to prevent future such Wars of Sorcery. "The Shining Path is exemplified by the foundational twelve spells of the Congress; those who fail to see the subtle unification underpinning these various magics are perforce incapable of 'Entering the Stream' of the Shining Path, and denied membership in the Transcendental College regardless ... "Meanwhile, the Congress itself adheres to the Shining Path to prevent the rebirth of future Sorcerer Kings ..."
The prompt seems to be the result of a random table roll. I am now curious if other players directing members of the same wizarding order tackled a similar forgotten table...
