Adventurers of the Drinking Crow Session #59: Zonked

 The seats of the Drinking Crow were once again filled with souls eager for the thrill of adventure. For months, the dungeon delving regulars of the tavern have been missing. Someone say they are wintering on the very moon itself! As a result, the establishment has seen 111th Company members, Phantamorians, and Cerulean War veterans but not those that hear that deep call for adventure.

Then last week, the vatspawn Bëx was spotted with a trio of others drawn to Orm by the promises of reward from 'The Complex': hard won coin, ancient knowledge, and thrilling yarns to share. Drinking Crow proprietor Gabby was excited to have a group of adventurers planning a delve in his tavern once again. The following group was seen heading off towards the Iron Gate of the Rani with an abundant supply of wolves bane:

  • Bëx (Level 1 Vat Spawn)
  • Kobys (Level 1 Lunar Elf)
  • Rumble Beerforge (Level 1 Dwarf)
    • Theela Ruul (Level 0 Amazon hireling)
  • Scheherazade (Level 1 Paladin)

When they returned through the Iron Gate of the Rain, they had no tax to pay. They did carry with them the nauseating stench of the cave crickets sacred to the Children of Peroma. They also had with them a malnourished member of that tribe of mutants named Sofee.

On a mission to restore the petrified Fredrick Featherstone to flesh, Bors the Bald made some decision of regret involving the cave elves. Welcome to the Twilight Age Ever since the Empire-That-Was receded, no human endeavor under the fading red sun has reached its heights. Some say humankind no longer possesses the know-how to reach such grandeur. Others claim that confronting daily a sun that could fail them at any moment has filled folks with a spirit of defeat.
