The Sacking of Orm Session #2
The Dragon Slayers of the Drinking Crow had returned to Orm having gotten the revenge on the traitorous Zamir "Big Time" Hashmi. They had resurrected their fallen elfin comrade Petra P. from death. But all of this came at the cost of a broken treaty and a destructive battle with the Oloth El'gg Ssuson that saw Orm cast ablaze as the the elfin hero Malagath Finbaros went down with the sky ship the Purple Rose. The following surviving members of the Dragon Slayers were joined by a new ally to battle the fires that blazed in the formerly untouch copse of trees in the heart of Orm:

Bors’ Final entry
What has greed and lust of violence brought? A brother with PTSD, a cousin with one arm, a dead brother, hero, and employer, and me, with no legs anymore. This all started when we returned with a statue that would make us a fortune. We had hired Zamir to be a middleman, but he had betrayed us. We set off in pursuit and cornered him in some sewers, I unceremoniously struck him down, and he must have cursed us at that moment. We were able to finish the deal to get a large mirror that showed the evil aspects of our souls.
On our way home, the Hero Malagath’s leg was struck and we had to tie it off so he wouldn’t bleed out. By the time the airship got back to Orm, his leg needed to be taken off. When we got home, I had set my thoughts to our next delve into the Complex, to show Ferris the workings of the place, but those plans drastically changed. As Lefty and I were walking, speaking of what we will do next, he suddenly dropped dead. In horror, I went looking for my comrades to see if we could quickly get to the ‘Pool of Life’ so we could revive him.
But then, ‘It’ came, Oloth El’gg Ssuson. During the battle with it, the Purple Rose was hit and was going down. Malagath had stayed on and was firing his powerful magics at it as it was in free fall. I made the decision to press my attack on the creature as opposed to trying to help catch the Great Hero, and that was a folly. I watched as he went down and got crushed, I watched as the Hero died because of my decision. In rage I chased after it as it fled, and I cut it down and it dissipated. It’s no solace that I got revenge on it. It brings me no joy that my friend had been avenged.
And as to rub salt on our wounds, the destruction of the Purple Rose had caused fires all over Orm. As we helped to put them out, we encountered some roving bands of the Night Raiders. One had chopped off my left leg, but with Ferris’s help, I cut down four of them. I had sent Ferris to go with the rest of the Dragon Slayers to help put out the fire in the untouched Copse of Trees, as I crawled to where Lefty had been laying dead. On the way I encountered another band of Night Raiders. Of the four I cut two of them down, but one hit an artery that I needed to tie off, and then another one cast a foul darkness on me that I could not dispel.
It all went to black after that for me, I must have exhausted myself as the next thing I remember, I’m waking up in the Drinking Crow. I had to get my remaining leg amputated because it was tied off for so long. Gabby said because of all the help I did with the Crow, that he will let me stay here. I have to abandon the path I was set on to become a Paladin. There is nothing left in me, I cannot continue on as an adventurer, I’m not sure there is any more use for me at all, I have just become a burden. I have sworn off drink from now on, to help save the few coin that I have, I must help Gabby and Whiskers in their endeavors, this is the only thing that will keep me going. I cannot succumb to darkness, I will not let it win.
