Burning Witch Adventurers Session #61-

 In a dark corner of the Burning Witch, the duelist Wolfgang and PakPak the kobold shared their recent tales of woe with a pair of fellow Burning Witch regulars/Complex explorers. Both of the listeners were keen to join in solving pair's troubles but PakPak insisted he was not yet ready for a potentially long visit to the Twilight Shores. Similarly, Wolfgang had yet to figure out his next move in. retaking the Wolves Den. Conversation turned to the seven valuable orbs left levitating above pedestals on Level 3. The following party left towards the direction of the cliff-face entrance to the Complex with the intention of trying to sunder one of the orbs free:

  • Hate Pit (Level 4 Vat Spawn)
  • PakPak (Level 4 Kobold)
  • Phasmo (Level 4 Magic-User)
    • Lirazil (Level 1 Elf hireling)
  • Wolfgang (Level 3 Duelist)
The group returned with two prisoners and Wolfgang severely injured. The prisoners appeared to be deceased adventurers: the vat spawn No Legs and PakPak's hob wife L'dy Meggee (who was shrunk down to 1/2" size and inside a glass jar). The party also had in their possession two orbs, though not the ones they intended on retrieving. They were similar to those captured by the Dragon Slayers after a run in with sinister doubles.

Phasmo had the prisoners taken to the Athenaeum where they were to be kept under constant guard. The magician arranged for another Librarian, Scamandros, to cast ESP during an interrogation of the prisoners (to be covered in an upcoming post).

Downtime Activity- Find the Right Buyer

  Dungeons are packed with treasure. After all, isn't that why adventurers decide to plumb their depths? While treasure finds of items that spend easily like coins of precious metals, gems, and jewelry often make up the winnings of successful adventuring expeditions; they are not the only items of value a party will haul back to the surface world.  Eager to make the most out of a group's expeditions, they often grab anything that looks like one could turn over for a quick coin or two. To turn such items into gold, though, adventurers have to locate an interested party to sell these art objects, non-magical tomes, trade goods, and other valuable dungeon oddities. Downtime in the Twilight Age

Outside of sessions at the table, time in the Twilight Age moves at a pace that matches our own. So one week passed in our world = one week passed in the Twilight age. This, combined with the proscription of ending each play session outside of danger, will mean players will find their characters with time to kill back in Orm between adventures at the table. What Is There Even To Do In Orm? Below is a list of downtime activities players can pursue between sessions. Most take one week to perform and those that don't will say in their rules (like magical research). Details for each activity are linked into the action title below.
