Bors Redbeard Reflects on the Dragon Slayers' latest Dungeon Expedition

Here is Bors Redbeard's latest journal entry covering his take on the events of the last dungeon dive by the Dragon Slayers over at the Drinking Crow:

Bors’ Journal

Entry Fourteen:

I almost lost Lefty.  Luckily I had that strange crystalline fruit which healed him right back up.  It also didn’t have the addicting component as the fruit that I gave Whiskers. Hopefully the fruit we planted will sprout, I have no idea how long it will take to grow and start making fruit, but I hope that it has some sort of magic and it will be relatively quick.  Although I do realize that we are planting it in a completely different habitat than what we found it growing in, but magic does make some strange things happen.

After finding out that the Illuminated Eye were on the second level, the Great Hero Malagath was wanting to get rid of them, however, a few of us were low on funds and were trying to get a haul up instead.  We went down to a part of level 3 we haven’t really explored and went through three doors.  One was filled with wererats and some ungrateful hostages, one had a giant scorpion with a dwarf face (who was also very annoying), and the third had what could potentially be our treasure haul.  We had to fight of giant beetles to get to these 5 metal barrels.  We opened one up to find that they were filled with a sleeping gas.  We came up with an idea to bottle them up and sell them. Hopefully things on that front go well and we’ll be able to make money off that venture.  Another thing we found was this sword among the corpses that the beetles were eating.  It glows red when near the Great Hero Malagath.  Turns out, this sword was used to find elves, it glows in their presence.  While thinking of who would take this weapon, we finally decided after quite a bit of debate that I would take the longsword, and Detective Featherstone will take the Golden Handaxe. With the dancing sword the Great Hero has in his possession, that means we have three magical weapons and with Willow the Wisp’s magic, we might be able to finally take on beings that are immune to normal steel and iron.
