Dragon Slayers of the Drinking Crow Session #21- Sweet Dreams!
The last time the adventurers based out of the Drinking Crow journeyed to 'The Complex', it was to lead Journeyman Crannoc and Riverborn Scamandros to a parley with the self-proclaimed Sorcerer-King Valtropis. As they eyed another delve before the end of the month, their thoughts turned to the bills soon coming due. As they weighed options, Copra Kaan mentioned the rumored reappearance of the Order of the Illuminated Eye on Level 2. The hero Malagath Finbaros declared that they ended to "...put an end to those assholes." Ultimately, though, the group settled on Level 3 as the best chance to make some coin. As the following party left, they discussed whether to steal the magical bedding of the Imperial Mother (Copra's suggestion) or investigate further the mostly unknown Northern section of the dungeon level:
- Bors Redbeard (Level 4 Dwarf)
- Lefty Redbeard (Level 1 dwarf hireling)
- Copra Kaan (Level 3 Vat Spawn)
- Fredrick Featherstone (Level 4 Vestigater)
- Gregor the Ghosthound (faithful doggie)
- Malagath Finbaros (Level 3 Elf)
- Willow the Wisp (Level 3 Illusionist)
After spending the rest of the day discussing some sort of new enterprise in a corner of the tavern, the next day the adventurers went their separate ways to take care of the tasks required for their new endeavor. Copra Kaan was seen over the way of PakPak's ShopShop. Bors Redbeard took diagrams over to the Blacksmith's so Meag could cast some components of a mysterious apparatus. Willow the Wisp and Fredrick Featherstone headed of to the Orm's Hall of Records to finalize securing some property. Everyone had their role to play in their project. Well, all except Malagath Finbaros. He was seen undertaking a different task down at the wagon on the edge of town with a sign that read, "Golden Goggles".
The following slip of paper was found left behind on the counter at PakPak's ShopShop:
Copra Kään’s To-Do List:
-Descend into the pit.
-Fight some rat people.
-Kill a giant scorpion behind Door #2.
-Kill some beetles behind Door #3.
-Take some barrels of gas.
-Start a business!
Lefty was later since spending too many coin trying to woo a courtesan with early 9"s on his own height. He could be heard trying to impress with tales three doors in between impromptu odes to her dusty-olive complexion or platinum hair. Each door opened to reveal a greater peril. First an ambush by half rat/half human blackguards. Then an assault by a a giant scorpion with an all-too-dwarfin like face that hurled hyperaware banter towards his allies as it struck with its venomous tail. Final, person-eating beetles the size of ponies and a magical gas. In the end, it seems as if Lefty met with some success has she could be seen laughing and whispering into Lefty's ear. It his rumored that his house is in peril if he cannot come up with the 200gp he owes the lending bank for his lavish overspending by the end of the next month.
Lefty visits his brother Bors right before the beginning of the Souling Tide and tells him that his new infatuation warns trouble is a foot for Mischief Night. She did not say what but for Lefty to be vigilant that very night.

Player Character Cut
The glow of the blade Malagith Finbaros brought to the gnomes of Golden Goggles fade by a degree or two when he handed it to them to inspect. One of the gnomes recited an ancient gnomic verse that exposed the magical aura of the long sword while another made a casting that unlocked the magic of the characters etched down the weapon's length. 'Eldar Letifer' was the weapon's name. They instruct Malagath that if one focuses on the weapon's power, the word 'caedis', as they wield it then they will find that his blows will striker truer and they will hit harder than an ordinary weapon. The gnomes, though, advise that Malagath toss the sword down a pit or into the Bay of Fuval for it calls for the blood of Malagath's people. It hunger is so strong that it makes the blade of the sword glow like molten steel and as bright as a torch when one of elfin ancestry is within 60'. Malagath donates 111gp to the gnomes for their efforts because he is a philanthropist.
