Downtime Catch-Up Post #3

The Armor of Osero

Fancy Jean-Yves Beauvillers paid 100gp to delve into the stacks at the Athenaeum of the Dying Sun to learn more about the magical armor discovered in a secret area of Level 1 of "The Complex". There isn't much of the items history within the library's collection but the first lead lies in the serial stories popular in the later years of the Empire-That-Was. The rakish Osero wore a golden shirt of chain with a bird emblem on its chest. Osero would sing the bird awake and it would join in song enchanting the rings to a greater strength. The armor was not made for Osero. He won it when he defeated the devilish bandit king Di'volo and freed the 33 holy children of Ilstan (what is now where the Principality of Kouz sits). Story goes that three generations before, the armor was forged for the 1st Warden of the Elfin Marches' daughter as a gift from the Half-Light elfin artisans trying to woo her hand. The armor, however, never made it to her as it was captured by Di'volo before it could reach her.

The armor functions as magical armor like chainmail +2.

The Missing Barrels of Phasmo

Phasmo came into the Burning Witch concerned and looking for a hunter to aid him in the investigation of some missing property. Hunkel, a well experienced hunter of many years (some say too many years of experience), was eager to shave a little off her tab and responded to the magic-user's requests for aid for a little coin. Later, while enjoying a hard haggled chestnut ale; the hunter would recount the most perplexing story to the other patrons of the tavern. There was not a sign of what moved those barrels nor were there any sign of them having moved from Phasmo's hiding spot. As plan as day, she could see the rings on the ground where the barrels once sat and Phasmo's own footprints but no other thing save for a little soot that had freshly rubbed off in the hiding spot. It was as if they barrels had just floated away.

New Downtime Activity: Performance

A player can choose to spend a downtime segment reciting poetry, acting out popular monologues from plays, playing songs, or other acts of performance to earn a little bit of money. For now, those interested should roll on the below table to perform the downtime (look for it to evolve in the future):
