The Districts of Topside- Emerald Terrace

Emerald Terrace (Northwest Topside)

Moss-covered paving stones carve a path through the overgrown landscape of Topside’s northwestern quarter. Sparse, ivy-covered residences mark hilly terrain otherwise dotted with pavilions and pagodas. Herds of goats forage grasses in the shadows of small-scale terraced farms.

4. Seedholm

Overlooking it all, high on the edge of Dungeon World, sits the baroque manor house that is center to Topside’s elven diaspora. Founded by refugees of a wilted branch of Yggdrasil, the estate was constructed at the site where their migrational samara marooned them on Dungeon World. Their matriarch, the Lady-Bound-in-Leaves, has shrewdly leveraged their colony-ship supplies to position them at the center of Topside’s high society. Their balls and soirees are packed with the who’s-who of Dungeon World’s surface society- often making it the perfect place to Find the Right Buyer for antiquities and curios dragged out of the halls below.

5. Thunder Grove

A large but struggling oak tree, sacred to the God of Thunder Thor, commands this meager stand. Those seeking to the Gather Intelligence on the latest delvers know of the halls inside Dungeon World can bring an offering to gain a seat at the feasting table underneath the oak’s boughs. Adventurers are known to swap tales and share rumors while partaking in the ritual feasts of good fortune here before a delve.

A devotee of Thor known as Donar the Pale hobbles around with the help of a gnarled staff as he tends to the sacred grounds. Donar will aid friends of Thor with healing rites in exchange for the following donations:

*Cure Light Wounds 100gp

*Cure Serious Wounds 350gp

*Cure Disease 1000gp

*Neutralize Poison 1000gp

*Remove Curse 4500gp

*Raise Dead 5500gp

6. The Viridian Basin

This built lagoon serves as the main source of fresh water for the residents of Topside. Five dragon-themed fountains, which constantly run, dot the pool. The natural gathering of the community at this water source has led to a market forming in the surrounding plaza. Adventurers can purchase commonly used equipment at “by-the-book” rates here from salvage resellers and cottage industry manufacturers.

The Entrance to Beryl Hall-

The gaunt ogre known as Longfellow will ferry adventuring parties with active charters across the Viridian Basin to the domed entrance of Beryl Hall free of charge. His wage is collected from the taxes on treasure collected by the Game Master’s dragoons: 5% paid upon exit or 10% deferred tax collected on Taxgiving.
