Dragon Slayers of the Drinking Crow Session #48- Rillis Atamar Kerym Recovered!

The Dragon Slayers had returned to their table at the Drinking Crow after a long absence. The adventurers claimed that for them, it had been not even a full day since their expedition into the territories of the elves. To the regulars at the Crow, it had been three weeks. Most of the group spent their time stewing over whatever misfortunes had befallen them in that missing time. Armeen, however, let his share of the parties' treasure haul flow freely as he traveled off to the Twilight Shores to caroused in celebration of the group's exploits in that fey realm.

When Armeen and the retainer Agera returned to their fellow adventurers, a handful of the Dragon Slayers burned with the embers of purpose. The antaur Copra Kaan declared that the must return to the caverns of the Nightmare Court and obtain the Rillis Atamar Kerym. Whether this was to fulfill their quest for the Lunar Elves camped on Level 3 of 'The Complex' or if it was to meet his own loudly proclaimed desires for a flaming sword, it is not known. What is known is that Copra Kaan could be overheard asking, "What are those Moon Elves going to give us for returning the sword? They should let me talk to their Spirit Tree to conveince it to let us fuflifll their quest!"

Prepared for danger, the group bolstered their numbers as Armeen took the itinerate dog shaver Jugal on as a retainer. The also discussed hiring the strongets member of the 111th Company they could get. The following party was seen not returning to the burnt copse of trees at the center of Orm but towards the beach and the Iron Door of the Rani:

  • Armeen of the Twin Rivers (Level 2 Cleric of Danu)
    • Jubal (Level 0 Dog Shaver retainer)
  • Copra Kaan (Level 6 Vat Spawn Antaur)
  • Crambo (Level 4 Magic-User)
    • Agera (Level 1 Fighting Mutant retainer)
  • Father Bert (Level 3 Errant Friar of Arishem the Judge)
    • Sunya Strong (Level 2 Fighter hireling of the 111th)
The group returned later that day. While they had no treasure to pay the Rani's tax on, they were in high spirits for they returned with Rillis Atamar Kerym and a magical hand axe to boot. As for the valiant soul whose praises the group were singing for slaying the cave elf High Priest Annothael in a single shot? It was not the terrible antaur Copra Kaan. Nor was it the mighty Sunya Strong. A magic missle from the goblin magic-user Crambo was not the killing blow either. It was the glory of Jubal to whom the toasted! All expedition, his arrows flew wildly. Yet, when it came time to battle Annothael as the group cut the High Priest off from the rest of his sinister congration; it was Jobal's arrow that flew true as it was loosed right into the brain of the Annothael.

When the cheering of Jubal's name and drinks had been drunk, it will be time to start the true test...what will the Dragon Slayers do with this magic sword?
