Dragon Slayers of the Drinking Crow Session #43- The Lost Caves of Level 3

The Dragon Slayers discussion around the Complex always seems to come back to their plans to poison the forces of the Eye of Terror and killing the Eye themself. The conversation circled back to a classic concern that the Eye could probably replace any forces they poison. As for battling the Eye of Terror specifically, the formattable Copra Kaan raised concerns over the party's ability to defeat the tyrant at the group's current strength. As the following grouped headed off to the Iron Gate of the Rani, they could be over heard discussing come caves on Level 3:

  • Armeen of the Twin Rivers (Level 1 Cleric of Danu)
    • Theela Ruul (Level 0 Amazon hireling)
  • Copra Kaan (Level 6 Vat Spawn antaur)
  • Crambo (Level 4 Magic-User)
    • Agera (Level 1 Fighting Mutant retainer)
  • Father Bert (Level 3 Errant Friar)
  • Petra P (Level 2 Elf)
    • Murfy (Level 1 Magic-User hireling)
    • Akash and Avani (dungeon terriers)
The group was seen returning through the gate wrangling a captured beetle that looked as if it was made completely of glass. Their bags were heavy with ancient silver coins. The group passed off 1160 of the coins to the 111th Company to pay the taxes of the Rani.

The following list was found around the Drinking Crow covered in shimmering beetle juice:

Copra Kään’s To-Do List:

-Enter The Complex.
-Return to Level 3.
-Discover an alter of human sacrifice.
-Fight some glass beetles.
-Paralyze one, kill the rest.
-Meet the saddest ghost in the world.
-Find some treasure.
-Pay the stupid tax on the way out.
The fur-covered mutant, Agera, hit the town with the combined treasure hauls of her previous expeditions. The retainer celebrated her dismembering of a crystal beetle with one hit form a silver dagger. In her victory lap, fellow tavern patrons heard tales of  cathedral devoted to a dark purpose--sacrifice! She spun tale of a tense battle against beetles that looked as if they were carved from glass who were near impossible to see before they sprung their ambush. She poetically waxed about the lush banks of a river that entered the cave-complex with a waterfall. She lamented the broken ghost, whose presence was signaled by the peculiar smell of a unknown hard liquor, who pleaded with the party to put his body to rest.
