Burning Witch Adventurers Session #79- A Sedimental Journey

 The last few weeks, a group of adventurers from the Burning Witch have been stockpiling supplies-food and drink. No one else quite sure why. After feeling like they had gathered enough, they decided to head out from the Burning Witch towards the ruins of Orm-Of-Old. No too long afterwards, they were seen in the lobby of the Athenaeum of the Dying Sun playing around with a pair of 'stalls" that have been sitting around for the last week or so. After depositing 3gp between the two machines, the party ended up with a bottle of a bubbly drink called 'Fizzy Fizz', a second bright green drink called 'Power Sip Bold' and a pair of cakes or buns packed together under a clear film of some sort. The strange writing on the packages were translated by GaWoosh. The gnome and Hate Pit were overheard saying that they were going to save their drinks for those "Lion-dudes".

The following group was then spotted going further into the Athenaeum:

  • GaWoosh (Level 4 Gnome)
    • Ferris (Level 1 Living Harness hireling)
  • Hate Pit (Level 4 Vat Spawn)
  • Pak Pak (Level 5 Kobold)
  • Thea Noir (Level 4 Assassin)
    • Many-Faced Gene (Level 3 Assassin hireling)
  • Wolfgang (Level 3 Duelist)
The next day, the group were seen milling about the Burning Witch covered in mud and bruises. Thea Noir looked especially beat up.

Experience Points

  • A Sedimental made into a dead-imental 1 x 1100xp
  • Cave dwarf sniped 1 x 20xp

Player Character Cut

  • 224 xp ea. (112xp to Ferris and Many-Faced Gene). This XP was handed out at the end of the session
Write-ups, art, or maps reporting on the session earn PC Level x 100XP. Let me know if anyone would like to perform a downtime activity. I know Hate Pit is spending theirs constructing a trash kite for GaWoosh. Marie should roll 2d6 (7+  success) to see if Hate Pit succeeds or not.

Downtime Activity- Find the Right Buyer

  Dungeons are packed with treasure. After all, isn't that why adventurers decide to plumb their depths? While treasure finds of items that spend easily like coins of precious metals, gems, and jewelry often make up the winnings of successful adventuring expeditions; they are not the only items of value a party will haul back to the surface world.  Eager to make the most out of a group's expeditions, they often grab anything that looks like one could turn over for a quick coin or two. To turn such items into gold, though, adventurers have to locate an interested party to sell these art objects, non-magical tomes, trade goods, and other valuable dungeon oddities. Downtime in the Twilight Age

Outside of sessions at the table, time in the Twilight Age moves at a pace that matches our own. So one week passed in our world = one week passed in the Twilight age. This, combined with the proscription of ending each play session outside of danger, will mean players will find their characters with time to kill back in Orm between adventures at the table. What Is There Even To Do In Orm? Below is a list of downtime activities players can pursue between sessions. Most take one week to perform and those that don't will say in their rules (like magical research). Details for each activity are linked into the action title below.
