The Sacking of Orm Session #1

 Orm was ablaze from the wrecking of the airship: the Purple Rose. A group of adventurers and members of the Athenaeum of the Dying Sun set out to protect the library from the fires that raged uncontrolled through the ruins of Orm-of-Old. The following group assembled to collect water and create fire breaks:

  • Fancy Jean-Yves Beauvollier (Level 5 Bard)
    • Peaches (Level 4 Thief retainer)
    • Freedom (Sapient Cat)
  • GaWoosh (Level 4 Gnome)
  • Journeyman Crannoc (Level 5 Magic-User)
    • Uscha (fey servitor retainer)
  • Kiddo (Level 3 Magic-User)

The group, joined by the Midnight Marauder Souz'awn and the wardog Brutus, succeeded to preventing the Atheanaeum from burning or being sacked. Still, the field currently tilts away from Orm's favor with several retreats by the party and creature corrupted by remnants of the Oloth El'gg Sssuson left to remain loose.

Treasure

  • Mantle of the Wolf (+2 to Saves against magical effects that are Lawful in origin)
  • A necklace of human teeth on a gold wire worth 10gp
  • A dagger sheathed in bronze set with a bronze moonstone worth 10gp
  • A small, crystal vial of a clear, viscous liquid that smells strongly of honeysuckle. (Vial: 4gp, Perfume: 3gp)
  • An archer’s bracer of leather and electrum. (25sp)
  • A pouch containing 4 gems: 2 carat piece of blue quartz worth 10gp, 2 carat piece of jasper worth 50gp, 2 carat hunk of polished amber worth 100gp, and a .3 carat fragment of emerald worth 500gp
  • A strange glass bubble containing a gray-violet gas (worth 500gp to the right elfin or magic-user buyer)

Downtime Activity- Find the Right Buyer

  Dungeons are packed with treasure. After all, isn't that why adventurers decide to plumb their depths? While treasure finds of items that spend easily like coins of precious metals, gems, and jewelry often make up the winnings of successful adventuring expeditions; they are not the only items of value a party will haul back to the surface world.  Eager to make the most out of a group's expeditions, they often grab anything that looks like one could turn over for a quick coin or two. To turn such items into gold, though, adventurers have to locate an interested party to sell these art objects, non-magical tomes, trade goods, and other valuable dungeon oddities. Downtime in the Twilight Age

Outside of sessions at the table, time in the Twilight Age moves at a pace that matches our own. So one week passed in our world = one week passed in the Twilight age. This, combined with the proscription of ending each play session outside of danger, will mean players will find their characters with time to kill back in Orm between adventures at the table. What Is There Even To Do In Orm? Below is a list of downtime activities players can pursue between sessions. Most take one week to perform and those that don't will say in their rules (like magical research). Details for each activity are linked into the action title below.
