Frimer Frimson and the Slithering Devil HIde

The whole goal of recent trips to the Twilight Shores was for PakPak and Hate Pit to locate a legendary leather worker who had been missing for 200 years. Kept hostage in the cells of the cave elves, PakPak finally has located the leather worker (and Frim Frimerson's ancestor)-- Frimer Frimson.

With that step now achieved, how are the pair of PakPak and Hate Pit going to turn this:

Into this:

Based on the steps covered in the Splendid Item downtime activity created by Phasmo's player Ben L., hear are the steps PakPak and Hate Pit need to take have Frimer craft their armor for them.

  1. They each must pay Frimer 1000gp to have their armor crafted.
  2. Next they each must spend a non-concurrent downtime (i.e. one week) personally working with Frimer to create their armor.
  3. When finished, the players for PakPak and Hate Pit must each name their new set of armor and describe it. As Ben says, "Others will notice the item and speak about it. It will become an object of envy, desire, and respect."
  4. The players of PakPak and Hate Pit must decide if they want the armor to add an additional +1 to armor class or have it count as an item less in inventory (in the case of leather armor, not take an inventory slot).
After each adventure that the armor is used, the owners must spend 100gp on its maintenance. It takes top quality care for the armor to retain its splendid benefits. If the splendid armor make from the hide of the Slithering Devil plays a key role in an upcoming session, PakPak or Hate Pit may just learn how a magic item is born, not made
