Missing Adventurers, New Enterprises, and More in the New Around Orm
It feels like is has been more than a fort night since we've taken a look at what the hot gossip is on the streets of Orm. Most folks seem to be gabbing about a variety of goings on centered around the adventurers of the Drinking Crow and Burning Witch. Is it due to everyone else either having split town or sheltering as they wait the Yellow Fever out? Who can really say.
Regardless, the top gossip around Orm is the recent disappearances of adventurers Thea Noir and Bors Redbeard. A journal page of Bors' was recently delivered to the Drinking Crow by some unseen servant rumored to be under the direction of a sorcerer king that dwells in the dungeon complex below Orm! There is speculation that the recent traffic between the Drinking Crow and the Athenaeum of the Dying Sun is tied to some big parley to retrieve the dwarfin adventurer.
Meanwhile, the waghalter known as Thea Noir has just unceremonially never returned from the delve a week and a half ago into 'The Complex'. Usually when an adventurer from the Burning Witch has perished in dungeon halls, a toast is raised to their honor but no such thing has occurred. This has led to speculation that the assassin is not dead but missing somewhere in the dungeon.
Yellow Fever continues to move through Orm though, for the first fort night, no new cases have been reported among the members of the 111th Company. While active membership currently hovers around a dozen, rumors are that many ill guild members will be back in rotation within the next fort night. In the meanwhile, guild services continue to be managed by Whiskers Redbeard. The dwarf continues to lament the current imprisonment of the most skilled guild member- Many Faced Gene. Gene still needs about 1100gp to gain his freedom. Whiskers promises at all guild fees through the Souling Tide at the end of the month. Whiskers has been much happier to promote that Ur-Kel has gained the 2nd Level within the Order of the Dragon and is armed with a magical sword for those looking for top tier hireling services.
Things are not all grim in Orm. Several new businesses have opened. The kobold adventurer PakPak has opened PakPak's ShopShop right off the square surrounding the Monument of the Old Gods in a store front abandoned during the Yellow Fever outbreak. He opening stock is listed below but he is always looking to purchase new inventory:
On the fringes of Orm near Orm-of-Old, another new establishment has popped up: Golden Goggles. Operated out of the back of a wagon by a group of mysterious gnomes, they offer a variety services (mostly) on a by donation basis all for the cause of Homes for Gnomes. A list of their current services can be seen below:
*Both Golden Goggles and PakPak's ShopShop have their own Discord channels for updates and business dealings. Leaving a comment on this post will work, too.
