Burning Witch Session #39- Burn You Damn Dirty Apes!

The streets of Orm still are pretty quiet. So much so that most of along the walk from the Drinking Crow to the Burning Witch noticed the Vat Spawn adventurer Copra Kaan make the trip to join another expedition from the Witch. A pair of tavern regulars, fresh from recovering from Yellow Fever were eager to journey back into the depth of 'The Complex'. The following group decided to try to explore some uncharted parts of Level 3:

  • Copra Kaan (Level 2 Vat Spawn)
  • Fancy Jean-Yves Beauvillers (Level 3 Bard)
    • Turwin (Level 0 Man-at-Arms), deceased
    • Freedom (Sapient Cat)
    • DT (loyal dungeon doggie)
    • 2 vampiric frogs
    • Shoeless Vo (Level 1 Thief hireling)
  • GaWoosh (Level 3 Gnome)
  • Phasmo (Level 3 Magic-User)
  • Wolfgang (Level 2 Duelist)
The group returned minus one member: Fancy carried the dog tags as the only remains of the last of the Men-at-Arms in his employ. His two vampiric frogs looked plump and unusually ruddy. The group carried sacks full of all sorts of oddities. Fancy set out to use his Bardic lore to identify some of the items while Phasmo traveled off the recently established PakPak's ShopShop to try to unload on of their odds and ends to the mercantile kobold. Several party members were seen wearing dark, silk-like garments with silver threads running through them that sparkled under the bloated red sun.

Shoeless Vo took her cut of the loot and set out celebrate surviving her first delve into the 'Complex' with baked sweets, playing games of chance, and a stolen bottle of cherry wine. The apprentice thief shared wild stories of fights with talking ape people that fought with sticks that called thunder and smoke to assault her group. She showed off a bow give to her by Fancy and boasted of her skill with it in the one fight of the delve. She told of a white marble spherical room with a stone arch in the center filled with more ape people and some strange, gray beings as well. As she started to recount the exotic treasures acquired by the group on the adventure, the Orm Civil Defense Force raided the backroom gambling hall. Vo has requested a member of the 111th Company fetch some of her treasure from the last delve to pay for her freedom.

Found under a mug at the Burning Witch was a slip of paper with the following written on it:
Copra Kään’s To-Do List:

-Ride in an elevator.
-Find nothing in a locker room.
-Set some damn dirty apes on fire.

  1. The significance of the Helm is not lost on the novice illusionist, GaWoosh. I’d prefer to have a chance at purchasing it from the group.
I think Phasmo also showed an interest?

Maybe an auction? I’d be willing to place a starting bid of 500.
