The last few weeks, a seat in one of the dark corners of the Burning Witch has been vacant. Its usual resident, Thea Noir, has not been seen in the tavern nor on the streets of Orm since a delve into 'The Complex' almost a month back. When the waghalter did not return from the nearby underworld, it was without the fanfare usually surrounding the death or disappearance those brave & desperate souls that seek gold & glory in the nearby underworld. It was said that she had some matters to attend to before returning to the surface soon after. For the gnome adept GaWoosh, a month passing before her resurfacing was not soon enough. GaWoosh pulled together a small party to return to the Complex and see what fate befell his adventuring peer. That group consisted of:
- Abraxis (Level 1 Fighting Mutant)
- Fancy Jean-Yves Beauviller (Level 4 Bard)
- Freedom (Sapient Cat)
- DT (dungeon doggy)
- Two unnamed vampiric frogs
- Ur-Kel (Level 2 Vat Spawn Knight hireling)
- GaWoosh (Level 3 Gnome)
The group returned to the surface successful! Thea Noir, looking a little pale and worse for wear, was in their number. They carried with them a bounty of new treasures.
Here is a series of in-session sketches by GaWoosh's player Curtis covering many of the events of the delve:

Tailbiter
Among the the treasures collected from the tomb discovered by Abraxis, Fancy, GaWoosh, and Thea stood out a strange sword covered in runes. The metal of the blade seemed to have a greenish cast in the torch light that seemed completely fade under the bloated, red sun above Orm. It was that greenish-sheen of the blade that shook lose one of the copper piece a dozen tales of dragon slayers Fancy knew. One of the most common of legends and often full of over the top elements, the skald had learned to become weary of taking such tales has truth. Still, he couldn't help but think of the story of Vallomaris. Like all of these dragon slaying protagonists, Vallomaris was a warrior with some element of spiritual virtue and a magic sword. Vallomaris' blade, thought, shined green against the fiery breath of his foe. Some essence of the fierce Clughbane whose blood was used in the forging of the blade some generations before Vallomaris ever held it. Call to the weapon's name written across its length in the dragon alphabet, "Xinatrux," and its strikes possess some of the power once contained by Clughbane. Vallomaris found the sword to strike especially true against his draconic foe above all others. Vallomaris, though, found it hard to pass a dragon unknown with 'Tailbiter' in hand and even small lizards seemed to avoid him.
Tailbiter considered a longsword+1 with a +3 bonus against dragons. Dragons and the ilk are never surprised by a party that includes the someone weilding Tailbiter.
