Burning Witch Adventurers Session #41- The Sorrow of Smaugma
The mood at the Burning Witch has been subdued since the last outing of adventurers just a few days prior. It is true that since the Yellow Fever outbreak, the tavern has quieted down compared to the peaked days of business from the initial flux of adventurers exploring 'The Complex'. There has been a certain somberness the last two days, though, since the illusionist retainer Banx's body rested on the tavern's floor. The harsh words of her husband, the vat-born knight Ur-Kel, still hang thick in the air.
Copra Kaan has seen how that moment has lingered over the tavern as he has waited out the time from that mid-week expedition for the next planned excursion. The thief Dogmouth, after studying the public maps and getting the latest word of goings on in that underworld space, had made a call for adventurers to join him in attempting to free a captive on the 2nd Level of 'The Complex'. The following group left for the ruins of Orm-of-Old to pursue the thief's goal:

Merry Mako walked away, whistling, as he counted his coin and dreamed of the future wealth if the other treasures he helped carry could be sold. The hireling could be found at the Burning Witch showing off his new spear in the days that followed. No one need to ask before he would start to tell about the invisible trap that cut his old weapon in twain. He claimed to be perched at great room's common table so he could keep an eye out for the rest of what he was owed. He seemed more than content on filling the dower tavern with a little cheer as he sang bawdy tunes about the bathing Imperial Mother spied by Dogmouth. Even his sad ballad about the mourning of the mother dragon Smaugma seemed to bring a little light to his fellow patrons in its simple beauty.
