The Dragon Slayers of the Drinking Crow Session #17- Re-Death to the Zombie Lord!

The crew of adventurers based out of the Drinking Crow left on their latest delve into 'The Complex' not on their regular fortnightly schedule. They had decided one adventurer without Bors Redbeard was enough for them. Plus the dwarf didn't want to miss out on the defeat of the long rumored 'Zombie Lord'. So, they decided to delay a few more days until the dwarfin adventurer had fully regained his strength from an ugly case of Yellow Fever. As the following group plotted their regicide (can the slaying of a zombie be called that?), Malagath could be heard muttering strong oaths against the Midnight Maruader Captain Sir Rolf Van Pattyn:

  • Bors Redbeard (Level 4 Dwarf)
    • Left Redbeard (Level 1 Dwarf hireling)
  • Copra Kaan (Level 1 Vat Spawn)
  • Fredrick Featherstone (Level 4 Vestigater)
    • Gregor the Gray Ghosthound (faithful pupper)
  • Malagath Finbaros (Level 3 Elf)
    • Yeoman Klang (Level 1 Thief hireling)
  • Willow the Wisp (Level 2 Illusionist)
The party returned victorious and mostly in decent health except Yeoman Klang who had met a very grisly end. His body was covered in blisters and burns. Whatever had occurred, Fredrick seemed the most shaken by it. The Vestigater was seen withdrawing all of his treasure and donating it amongst the Lawful faithful along the Alley of the Gods.

Willow the Wisp also seems to have a new interest in religion. After her experiences beyond the veil, Willow has chosen to take over the care of the Shrine of Danu- the Mother of the Primordial Waters.

Bors approached the Athenian of the Dying Sun with a vial of a strange black goo to research. As he handed container to Sergio Cankersore, he said, "This is all that remains of Rosey from the Burning Witch."

Here is the latest journal entry of Bors Redbeard:

Entry ten:

I feel this delve was serendipitous.  After recovering from yellow fever, we went back into The Complex.  While we did not score a good haul of treasure, we did finally do away with the Zombie Lord on the second level.  After disposing of him and his lackeys, we went into a room with a beautiful alter and mosaics around the walls. It felt right, just, and good.  Until I met Rustam of the Twin Lakes, I was never a religious man, but seeing him and the succor he gave to the people of Orm while he was alive made me different.  I wasn’t so much compelled to pray, but it just felt right to do it.  I’m not sure what it is, but I feel like there is a different path that I might be able to take. There is something that seems, more. I'm going to try and explore this more.
