Latest News Around Orm- Yellow Fever Update #3
The streets and alleys of Orm have been pretty quiet has Yellow Fever continues spread through the population. That hasn't stopped some gossip to spread about town. Here is some of what the citizens are talking about:
Under the advisement of healers brought in to Orm by messengers paid for by Bors Redbeard, the citizenry of the city-state have mostly locked themselves inside whenever possible. Those that can afford it have temporarily relocated as they wait for the outbreak to pass.
None of this, of course, has not prevented all transmissions of the illness. Several prominent community members including Orm Civil Defense Force Commander Ironside, the Bronze Knight of the Order of the Dragon Dame Galathea, and Lady Celestine Muirk of the Society of Coruscating Seal along with several more members of the 111th Company have all fallen ill. A member of the hireling organization 2 Paks and the adventurer Willow the Wisp have both died from Yellow Fever while Frim Frimerson has fallen into a coma. The news isn't all grim, however, as many are beginning to make a full recovery after grueling weeks including jar magnet Ivouri Vas, adventurer PakPak, and the pair of hirelings of the bard Fancy: Turq and Turwin.
Meanwhile, the Neophyte member of the Transcendental Congress of Aureate Precepts Kiddo is selling doses of insect repellant by the ounce. According to the previously mentioned healers, one ounce of the repellent will protect someone from contracting Yellow Fever for one week if applied daily. The magic-user is offering the doses for 100gp ea. though higher offers will be given grater preference.
The adventurer Dogmouth has purchased a booth in the market near the Monument of the Old Gods and has set up a new business:
