Burning Witch Adventurers Session #30- Into the Un-Gnome

Riverborn Scamandros had piqued the curiosity of a handful of Burning Witch regulars with talk of another dungeon canoeing trip. This time, he wanted to follow up with Brian the Gnome and treat with the gnome community of "The Complex". When it came time to launch the canoes, only a pair of fellow adventurers stood ready. Word has it that the mutant Abraxis was maybe wrapped up in some of the unrest that is becoming a regular event in Orm while Crambo had  accidentally fallen asleep after indulging in some frozen treats and hill dwarf spirits. Both ended up literally missing the boat on this delve. The following party (including a heavily supplement of members of the 111th Company) explored the waters inside "The Complex":

  • Betina (Level 2 Fighter)
    • Old Woman (Level 0 Doomsayer hireling), deceased
  • Scamandros (Level 3 Magic-User)
    • Kiddo (Level 1 Magic-User hireling)
  • Wolfgang (Level 1 Duelist)
    • Geoph (Level 1 Gnome hireling)
When they stumbled back into the Orm, most of the party as wounded and Old Woman was dead. Betina's face was streaked in lizardfolk blood. They were seen visiting the 111th Company and paying the guild weregilt for their fallen member. Afterwards, toasts to the Old Woman could be heard echoing out into the hot summer night from the common room of the Burning Witch.

Downtime Activity- Find the Right Buyer

  Dungeons are packed with treasure. After all, isn't that why adventurers decide to plumb their depths? While treasure finds of items that spend easily like coins of precious metals, gems, and jewelry often make up the winnings of successful adventuring expeditions; they are not the only items of value a party will haul back to the surface world.  Eager to make the most out of a group's expeditions, they often grab anything that looks like one could turn over for a quick coin or two. To turn such items into gold, though, adventurers have to locate an interested party to sell these art objects, non-magical tomes, trade goods, and other valuable dungeon oddities. Downtime in the Twilight Age

Outside of sessions at the table, time in the Twilight Age moves at a pace that matches our own. So one week passed in our world = one week passed in the Twilight age. This, combined with the proscription of ending each play session outside of danger, will mean players will find their characters with time to kill back in Orm between adventures at the table. What Is There Even To Do In Orm? Below is a list of downtime activities players can pursue between sessions. Most take one week to perform and those that don't will say in their rules (like magical research). Details for each activity are linked into the action title below.
