Burning Witch Session #26- A Prickly Situation

When the adventurers who patronize the Burning Witch aren't plotting insect extermination and doors made of fantastic metal, the tables are filled with discussions of how extract more wealth from "The Complex". Fueled by tales of the library find or the gnomish treasure scooped up by the Midnight Marauders or of the recent raid of the Zombie King treasury by those adventurers out of the Drinking Crow; these treasure hunters and thrill seekers that congregate around the tavern's community tables plot to see who could make the next big find. And that is what the latest party consisting of the following set out to do:
  • Fancy Jean-Yves Beauvillers (Level 1 Bard)
    • Turq and Turwin (Level 0 hireling Men-at-Arms)
    • Glys (Level 0 hirleing Crossbow Woman)
  • Hate Pit (Level 2 Vatspawn)
    • Banx (Level 1 Illusionist retainer)
  • PakPak (Level 3 Kobold)
  • Thea Noir (Level 3 Assassin)
  •  Wolfgang (Level 1 Duelist)
The party returned from that cliff-side dungeon dragging a stone container filled with coins and the corpse of a giant porcupine.

PakPak's player Rob A. shared this illustration of one of the lion-headed dungeon denizens the party encountered on their delve. 

Word around the Burning Witch was that Banx spent the next few days carousing until late night party happening the cellar below the Subtle Chateau was raided by the Rani's forces stationed in Orm. Guests later claim Banx was telling tall tales of magical throne rooms, lion men, and stunning a giant porcupine with one of her spells while binging on summer wine but she does not appear to number among those rounded up.

  • 1 giant porcupine corpse that Hate Pit is going to harvest spiny skin from.

Downtime Activity- Find the Right Buyer

  Dungeons are packed with treasure. After all, isn't that why adventurers decide to plumb their depths? While treasure finds of items that spend easily like coins of precious metals, gems, and jewelry often make up the winnings of successful adventuring expeditions; they are not the only items of value a party will haul back to the surface world.  Eager to make the most out of a group's expeditions, they often grab anything that looks like one could turn over for a quick coin or two. To turn such items into gold, though, adventurers have to locate an interested party to sell these art objects, non-magical tomes, trade goods, and other valuable dungeon oddities. Downtime in the Twilight Age

Outside of sessions at the table, time in the Twilight Age moves at a pace that matches our own. So one week passed in our world = one week passed in the Twilight age. This, combined with the proscription of ending each play session outside of danger, will mean players will find their characters with time to kill back in Orm between adventures at the table. What Is There Even To Do In Orm? Below is a list of downtime activities players can pursue between sessions. Most take one week to perform and those that don't will say in their rules (like magical research). Details for each activity are linked into the action title below.
