At the common tables of the Burning Witch, there has been much talk of the mosquito problem on Level 2 of "The Complex". Journeyman Crannoc appeals to try to resolve the issue swayed some to his cause. A week of planning followed, including several adventurers commissioning 'mosquito suits' similar to the ones Crannoc designed. The following team of adventurers and hirelings set out from the tavern to tackle the insect infestation:
- Betina (Level 2 Fighter)
- The Sargent (Level 0 hireling Woman-at-Arms)
- Crambo (Level 1 Magic-User)
- Tome Berry (Level 1 hireling "magic-user")
- GaWoosh (Level 1 Gnome)
- Journeyman Crannoc (Level 3 Magic-User)
- Kestrel Mask (Level 1 hireling masked thief)
The party returned bearing strange, crystalline pear-like fruit and unused mosquito suits. Crambo's chest and Betina's left hand bore terrible acid burns that left permanent scars.
